Job Description
Pastry Cook Windward Restaurant Concepts | Vero Beach, FL Full-Time | $19-$23 per hour Windward Restaurant Concepts is seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our culinary team in Vero Beach. This position will support pastry and dessert production across our restaurant concepts, working closely with our Executive Pastry Chef and culinary leadership team. The ideal candidate has hands-on pastry or professional kitchen experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to consistency, presentation, and quality. This is an opportunity to join a growing culinary operation and work alongside experienced culinary leadership in the development and execution of a high-quality pastry and dessert program. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, pies, desserts, and other pastry items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Measure, mix, prepare, and portion ingredients accurately.
- Decorate and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail, presentation, and consistency.
- Maintain proper mise en place and ensure the pastry station is prepared for daily production and service.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, labeling, dating, storage, and inventory rotation.
- Assist with inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients and supplies.
- Assist with the development of new pastry items and seasonal menu offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry kitchen and workstation.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and health department requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary team to meet production schedules and support efficient daily operations. Qualifications
- Previous pastry, baking, or professional restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and presentation standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
