Full Job Description Overview:
Join our team as a Sushi Chef and showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushi dishes following traditional Japanese techniques and recipes
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate overall meal production
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or relevant role in a restaurant setting
- Proficiency in sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and fish handling
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices in a culinary environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen while upholding quality standards
- Experience in menu planning, catering, or dietary aide is a plus
