Full-Time As we gear up for a high-volume fall and winter season, we are seeking a full-time Sous Chef to help lead and elevate our culinary operations. Position Summary This is a leadership role for an experienced professional who can execute under pressure, uphold excellence on the line, and contribute to a team culture built on professionalism, pride, and accountability. As Sous Chef, you'll be a hands-on partner to the Executive Chef, helping to manage day-to-day kitchen operations, train and lead staff, and ensure flawless execution during both a la carte dining and private events. This is a critical hire as we expand catering services, high-end private dinners, and large banquet events—requiring a kitchen team that is fast, reliable, and unified.
Key Responsibilities Service Leadership:
Run the kitchen during service, lead expo when needed, and ensure communication between
BOH & FOH
teams.
Station Proficiency:
Work all stations as needed, especially grill, sauté, pantry, and broiler.
Private Event & Banquet Execution:
Oversee setup, prep, and execution of private events—ensuring simultaneous success of a la carte service.
Inventory & Ordering:
Help manage pars, product quality, and vendor ordering with attention to food cost and waste reduction.
Training & Accountability:
Uphold prep lists, line checks, cleanliness standards, and provide real-time coaching to newer staff.
Menu Innovation:
Support the development and testing of seasonal dishes, paired dinner concepts, and special event menus.
Operational Support:
Act as MOD in the absence of the Executive Chef; available for nights, weekends, and special events.
Problem Solving:
Proactively address back-of-house execution challenges to reduce ticket times and improve guest satisfaction.
