Hotel Executive Chef:
Staff Management & Training:
Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring productivity and maintaining food quality. Provide continuous training and foster a team-oriented environment.
Daily Use Records:
Work with the Executive Sous Chef to inspect daily use records, ensuring food yields and usage are tracked accurately.
Waste Control:
Monitor food pulling from storage for daily production, manage leftovers, and minimize waste.
Clear Communication:
Provide clear verbal and written direction to staff to ensure consistency in operations.
Team Collaboration:
Attend associate meetings, solve operational challenges, and encourage open communication within the team.
Housekeeping & Cleanliness:
Enforce high sanitation standards and ensure compliance with the "clean as you go" policy.
Performance Monitoring:
Evaluate staff performance, enforce procedural standards, and provide feedback and corrective actions when needed.
Profitability & Cost Control:
Drive revenue while controlling costs to maximize profitability.
Talent Development:
Mentor and develop internal talent for future leadership roles.
Food & Banquet Management:
Oversee all aspects of kitchen management, including banquets, ensuring quality preparation and proper food handling. What We're Looking For in a
Hotel Executive Chef:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and staff. Self-motivated with an even temperament and professional appearance. Willingness to collaborate and support co-workers in a team-oriented environment. Basic supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, directing, coaching, and training employees. Proficiency with kitchen equipment and food handling procedures. Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
