Position Overview We are seeking a professional, full-time Kitchen Manager to oversee a fraternity/sorority house dining program at UMD College Park . This is not an entry-level role—our ideal candidate is a culinary professional with a degree or formal training, ServSafe certified, and experienced in leading a kitchen at scale. You'll be responsible for everything from menu planning and execution to customer satisfaction and food safety. We're looking for someone who knows exactly what they want in their next role, is ready to commit, and takes pride in delivering consistently excellent food and service.Important:
Full-time availability is required, including Sundays. Responsibilities Lead daily meal service with a focus on consistency, quality, and presentation Plan and adapt menus in collaboration with the Campus Manager Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization Manage ordering, inventory, and cost control Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and leadership Provide leadership and direction for any supporting kitchen staff Handle last-minute requests with professionalism and composure Qualifications Culinary degree or equivalent professional training strongly preferred 4+ years of high-volume cooking and kitchen management experience ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain immediately) Proven track record of managing all aspects of a kitchen operation Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Full-time availability, including Sundays —non-negotiable Self-motivated, dependable, and serious about long-term commitment Experience in repeat-customer environments (e.g., country clubs, campus dining, institutional kitchens) is a plus Benefits Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance (full-time employees) 401(k) with company match Predictable work schedule with summers off Supportive team environment with room to grow Join Our Team If you are a serious culinary professional ready to lead a kitchen, commit to excellence, and thrive in a stable, supportive environment, we want to hear from you.Apply today:
