Full-Time (5 Days Per Week) A private family in Birmingham, Michigan is seeking an exceptional Executive Private Chef & Household Culinary Manager to oversee every aspect of the family's culinary program. This is a long-term position for a highly organized culinary professional who is passionate about health, nutrition, hospitality, and creating an extraordinary daily dining experience. The successful candidate will assume complete responsibility for the planning, preparation, organization, and ongoing management of the household's culinary operation. The family consists of two adults and two school-aged children. The family's lifestyle emphasizes exceptionally healthy cuisine featuring organic, non-GMO ingredients, with a predominantly plant-based approach. The children primarily follow a pescatarian diet, and meals should be thoughtfully adapted to meet the individual preferences and nutritional needs of each family member. Primary Responsibilities The Executive Private Chef & Household Culinary Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the family's culinary program, including: Daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, and desserts Weekly menu planning and ongoing meal scheduling Shopping for all food, beverages, and household culinary supplies Sourcing exceptional organic, local, seasonal, and non-GMO ingredients Vendor relationships and specialty product sourcing Pantry organization and inventory management Refrigerator and freezer organization Kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and daily organization Maintaining a fully stocked kitchen at all times Preparation of healthy grab-and-go meals and snacks Children's school lunches and after-school snacks Family entertaining, dinner parties, and special events Food storage, labeling, rotation, and inventory control Coordination of grocery deliveries when appropriate Maintaining detailed shopping lists and household culinary inventories Ensuring the kitchen consistently reflects the standards of a luxury private residence Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience as a private chef for a high-net-worth family Exceptional culinary technique with a strong health and wellness focus Extensive knowledge of plant-forward cuisine Experience preparing pescatarian cuisine Passion for organic, seasonal, and non-GMO ingredients Outstanding organizational skills Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Ability to anticipate household needs without direction Professionalism, discretion, and absolute confidentiality Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the family Preferred Qualifications Culinary degree or equivalent professional training Fine dining and/or luxury hospitality experience Knowledge of functional nutrition and wellness-focused cooking Experience accommodating multiple dietary preferences simultaneously Valid driver's license and clean driving record Compensation Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
