We have a wonderful opportunity for a Director of Culinary Services who is passionate about creating delicious, nourishing meals that bring joy to our residents every day. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on leading a kitchen team, crafting menus that reflect our residents' tastes and needs, and turning every meal into a warm, welcoming dining experience, all while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and hospitality. This is a full-time position, paying between $65-70,000 per year DOE. The schedule may include Saturdays/Sundays. Our Directors of Culinary Services Create a beautiful, delicious, and well balanced range of meals for our residents. Help hire and train new Team Members, building a passion for the culinary arts! Assist in the preparation of meals Periodically review the menu and food service with our residents to ensure satisfaction and brainstorm new menu ideas! Deliver a menu and service aligned with our Transforming Age Culture of Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned. What you need to succeed! High school diploma or the equivalent education, training and experience. Culinary degree preferred. Five years' experience as executive chef, chef in hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment. Experience in menus for restricted diets. Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Able to meet budgets and control costs. Completion of a background check. Additional prescreening requirements such as a drug test, fingerprint, TB test, and/or physical may be required per state/local guidelines.
Physical Requirements for the role:
