Where everyone regardless of position has a prepose and true value. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, with a focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience in our fine dining restaurant. Will provide parking reimbursement for the right candidate. Responsibilities Prepare high-quality sushi and sashimi using fresh ingredients while adhering to traditional techniques. Collaborate with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met in accordance with health regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Assist in training kitchen staff on proper sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Provide exceptional service by engaging with guests when necessary, sharing knowledge about sushi types and preparation methods. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in the food industry, preferably within a fine dining restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and sushi-making processes. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to create dishes that accommodate various dietary needs. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the field of Japanese cuisine.
