Banquet Chef

A culinary degree is preferred; however, candidates with extensive hands-on banquet or catering experience will also be considered. This role requires a chef who thrives in an event-driven kitchen—someone who is organized, creative, quality-focused, and budget-conscious. The Banquet Chef should be a hands-on leader with the ability to motivate, train, and support a culinary team while executing exceptional events that align with the Williams Inn's service standards and guest expectations. Position Overview The Banquet Chef is responsible for overseeing all banquet food production and execution, working closely with sales, catering, and operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery. This position plays a key role in menu execution, kitchen leadership, cost control, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and sanitation. The Banquet Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef and/or General Manager. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Overseeing all banquet food preparation and execution with a strong emphasis on quality, consistency, and presentation

Managing day-to-day banquet kitchen operations, including staffing, training, scheduling, and forecasting

Collaborating with Sales and Events teams to support current and future banquet business

Developing production schedules and prep sheets to ensure efficient execution of events

Maintaining inventory, ordering, and food cost controls

Ensuring labor efficiency while meeting service and financial objectives

Leading, training, and motivating the banquet culinary team

Upholding all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Ensuring all guest service and brand standards are consistently met Job Requirements Proven banquet or high-volume event culinary experience

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Creativity balanced with cost awareness

Ability to pass a background check
