We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and a great dining experience to our local community. We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Sushi Chef to join our kitchen team and take charge of our sushi bar. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef who is highly proficient in preparing traditional and modern sushi dishes. The ideal candidate must have excellent knife skills, a deep understanding of handling and cutting raw fish, and the ability to work efficiently during busy service hours. Key Responsibilities Expertly cut, slice, and prepare various types of raw fish and seafood. Roll and prepare a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and maki rolls quickly and consistently. Prepare sushi rice, vegetables, and other essential ingredients daily. Maintain strict health, hygiene, and food safety standards at the sushi bar. Manage sushi bar inventory, monitor ingredient freshness, and minimize waste. Keep the workstation clean, organized, and fully prepped for service. Requirements Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong knife skills and extensive experience breaking down and cutting whole fish. Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail when rolling and plating. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper seafood handling protocols. Ability to work during holidays, weekends and evenings. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic.
