Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital leadership role, you will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. Your expertise will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests while fostering a positive, team-driven environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, oversee food production, and lead a talented kitchen staff in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and culinary techniques to ensure consistency and excellence. Manage inventory control and food management processes, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste through effective cost control measures. Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods. Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes that adhere to dietary requirements and client specifications. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while fostering a culture of food safety awareness among team members. Support menu planning efforts by collaborating with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that align with restaurant standards and customer preferences. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. Extensive banquet, catering, and restaurant experience within the food industry. Knowledge of dietary department procedures and catering to special dietary needs. Skilled in inventory management, cost control, and food service management practices. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling regulations, and kitchen safety protocols. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
