Job Summary We are on the lookout for a passionate Salad & Dessert Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is all about crafting fresh, flavorful salads and delectable desserts that delight our guests. You'll play a key role in elevating our menu offerings and ensuring every plate served is a masterpiece. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of salads, including fresh vegetable, grain, and protein-based options, following established recipes and presentation standards. Create an array of desserts, from light fruit parfaits to rich pastries, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new salad and dessert ideas that align with current trends and customer preferences. Operate kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, poachers, braising pans, and grills safely and efficiently. Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to sanitizing procedures, proper food handling, and storage practices. Support high-volume food production during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail and presentation. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure recipes are followed accurately and dishes meet quality expectations. Experience Previous experience working in fine dining or high-volume food service environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and knife work. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food safety management systems. Background in dietary department or catering environments adds valuable insight into specialized meal prep. Knowledge of operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of food quality. Familiarity with food industry best practices for sanitation, food handling, and safety regulations.
