THE POSITION
The Executive Chef is responsible for all culinary operations, including member dining, private events, club events, golf outings, and pastry production. The Chef leads and develops the culinary team while maintaining outstanding standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, organization, and financial performance. Working closely with the General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, and Director of Events, the Executive Chef will develop menus and dining experiences that respond to member preferences while continually introducing new ideas and experiences.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of success leading a high-quality club culinary operation, complemented by excellent leadership and administrative skills, strong financial acumen, and the ability to recruit, develop, and retain an exceptional culinary team. Culinary education and professional certifications are valued; however, demonstrated success and progressive leadership experience within the private-club industry will be the primary consideration.

Founded in 1921, Canterbury Golf Club is located in Beachwood, Ohio, less than ten miles east of downtown Cleveland. Canterbury has a distinguished championship history, having hosted 13 major championships, and will host the 2027 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. Canterbury combines its historic golf tradition with a strong emphasis on the member and family experience.
