Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook 1 to join our dynamic culinary team! Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to support diverse dietary needs and preferences Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques Support high-volume food production, ensuring timely meal service during busy periods Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes Follow food safety management practices to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times Skills Proven experience as a dietary aide or in a similar food service role with dietary department exposure Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and meal assembly Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments demonstrating attention to detail and recipe adherence Ability to handle high-volume production efficiently while maintaining quality standards Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations Skilled in menu planning, catering support, and supporting the culinary team with innovative meal ideas Join us if you're eager to grow your culinary expertise in a vibrant setting where your skills make a real difference!
