Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and motivated Sushi Chefs (part time and full time available) and Line Cooks to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate takes pride in food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and providing guests with an excellent dining experience.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant standards.

Properly cut, portion, and prepare fresh fish and other ingredients.

Maintain high standards for food quality, freshness, presentation, and consistency.

Set up and maintain a clean, organized sushi station.

Follow proper food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature-control procedures.

Monitor inventory and communicate product and prep needs to management.

Minimize food waste and properly rotate ingredients.

Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.

Communicate and work well with servers, kitchen staff, and management.

Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests at the sushi bar.

Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and prep duties as needed.

QualificationsPrevious sushi chef or sushi preparation experience preferred.

Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish preparation.

Knowledge of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and Japanese ingredients.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and presentation.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal restaurant kitchen duties.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
