Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and ensuring that all food prepared meets our high standards for quality and presentation. This position is perfect for a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about cooking and leading a team.
Duties:
- Manage the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new recipes and menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food handling and storage procedures to ensure the integrity of our products.
- Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests and preferences.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement fine dining concepts.
- Utilize kitchen tools, including knives, to prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes.
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability.
- Implement effective food waste reduction strategies.
- Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Assist in all other hotel operational needs
Skills:
- Proven experience in a restaurant kitchen, with a focus on food preparation and presentation.
- Strong understanding of menu planning and dietary department operations.
- Expertise in food handling and safety practices.
- Familiarity with fine dining concepts and the ability to develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
- Proficiency in the use of kitchen tools, including knives.
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to quality and presentation.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$58,000.00- $61,000.
