Position Summary:
We're hiring a Chapter Chef to lead food service operations at a Greek house at Penn State University in State College, PA . As the lead chef, you'll be responsible for preparing daily meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines culinary expertise with strong leadership and customer service skills.
Reports To:
Campus Manager Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals daily Collaborate with your Campus Manager to plan menus and adjust based on feedback Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Track inventory and place timely food orders Actively gather feedback from chapter members and implement improvements Communicate regularly with corporate staff to ensure expectations are met Supervise and guide any additional kitchen staff
Required Skills & Experience:
4+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume or institutional kitchen Experience with food ordering, inventory management, and kitchen operations Ability to manage daily prep and service independently ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain before start) Strong communication and customer service skills Professional, reliable, and organized Familiarity with Google Workspace and basic tech tools (email, apps, etc.) Experience in repeat-service environments (e.g., country clubs, campus dining) is a plus
