Job Description

West Village Post Acute is a skilled nursing facility located at 8 N. Texas Avenue in Greenville, South Carolina. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong culinary skills, and a passion for serving our residents delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced meals.
Schedule:
30hrs/week (Full-Time)
Pay Range:
$22-23/hr
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with facility menus and resident dietary needs. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards. Coordinate with the Dietary Manager and Dietitian to accommodate therapeutic and texture-modified diets. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen. Demonstrate excellent time management and attention to detail during meal prep and service. Lead and collaborate with dietary team members to promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Contribute creativity and input for menu planning and special events.
Qualifications:
Culinary school education preferred. Minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or a high-volume kitchen. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus). Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Team player with strong communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions preferred.
