Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of teppanyaki dishes with precision, flair, and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and high quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, knives, spatulas, and other utensils safely and efficiently. Plan menus that highlight fresh ingredients, seasonal flavors, and customer preferences while adhering to recipe standards. Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures, including proper handling of raw ingredients and cleaning of all surfaces and tools. Execute food production tasks such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling to meet high-volume demands without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods. Uphold dietary department standards by accommodating special dietary needs and ensuring compliance with food safety management protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef or in a similar fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety procedures. Demonstrated ability to plan menus, follow recipes accurately, and execute meal preparation efficiently. Expertise in operating kitchen equipment safely while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Extensive food service experience within the food industry or restaurant environment. Skilled in food handling practices with a focus on dietary aide experience or dietary department familiarity preferred. Excellent knife skills combined with the ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Experience in catering or large-scale food production is advantageous for managing high-volume demands effectively.
