Job Description

Sushi Chef Apprentice - Thai Sushi Crush Thai Sushi Crush in Allen, Texas, is seeking a dependable Sushi Chef Apprentice with some experience rolling sushi. This position provides hands-on training and an opportunity to grow into a Sushi Chef based on performance, reliability, and demonstrated skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare sushi rolls according to our recipes and presentation standards Prepare sushi rice, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients Assist with nigiri, sashimi, and sushi appetizers Portion, label, store, and rotate seafood and other ingredients Maintain a clean and sanitary sushi station Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties Support the sushi chef during busy service periods Develop the skills needed to manage the sushi station independently
Qualifications:
Some experience rolling sushi is required Basic knowledge of sushi ingredients and preparation Strong interest in developing into a Sushi Chef Dependable, punctual, clean, and able to follow instructions Good attention to detail and presentation Able to work efficiently as part of a team Available to work evenings and weekends as scheduled Food-handler certification required or must be obtained after hiring
Careers Growth:
Successful apprentices can advance to a Sushi Chef position after demonstrating proficiency in sushi rolling, ingredient preparation, knife skills, portion control, presentation, food safety, and station management.
Pay:
$10.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
