The ideal candidate will bring a refined palate, meticulous attention to detail, and extensive experience working in high-end kitchens. This role demands professionalism, creativity, and a deep understanding of classical and contemporary cooking techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute high-level food preparation and presentation in accordance with the restaurant's standards. Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency and excellence in all dishes. Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in all kitchen operations. Manage inventory efficiently and assist with ordering and stock rotation. Uphold portion control and minimize waste while maintaining the highest quality. Contribute to menu development, seasonal updates, and tasting sessions. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed. Remain calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a fine dining kitchen. Exceptional knife skills and mastery of a variety of cooking methods (sautéing, grilling, roasting, braising, etc.). Strong understanding of plating aesthetics and food presentation. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. High level of personal hygiene and commitment to cleanliness. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Passion for culinary excellence and dedication to continuous improvement.
