Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Indian Curry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Previous Indian restaurant experience is a must. As an Indian Curry Chef, you will be responsible for creating flavorful, high-quality curries and related dishes that delight our guests and elevate our dining experience. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership will be essential to ensure exceptional service and adherence to food safety standards. Duties Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries, ensuring consistent quality and presentation in line with established recipes and standards Lead food production activities, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control to optimize taste and efficiency Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective inventory management practices Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times Oversee catering events and banquet services, coordinating with the team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences in large-scale settings Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining authentic flavor profiles Implement cost control measures without compromising quality, managing food costs effectively across all operations Maintain high standards of hospitality by serving dishes promptly and professionally while managing shift responsibilities efficiently Experience Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or catering environment, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams or culinary staff in a fast-paced setting Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, including traditional curry preparation techniques and regional flavor profiles Background in banquet or catering services with experience in large-scale food service operations Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control practices in the food industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment Experience in menu planning, food handling, and managing shifts within restaurant or hospitality settings Knowledge of food service management principles including inventory control, kitchen management, and food safety regulations Join us as an Indian Curry Chef if you're eager to bring authentic flavors to life while leading a dedicated culinary team.
