Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and freshness. Your expertise will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests, blending traditional techniques with innovative flair. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are dedicated to elevating the art of sushi making. Duties Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and adherence to food safety standards Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and sanitized Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Develop new sushi recipes and presentation styles to enhance menu offerings Monitor ingredient freshness and manage inventory levels to minimize waste Educate team members on sushi techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards Uphold all health regulations and safety protocols in the preparation area Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and fish handling Experience working with fresh seafood, including filleting and portioning Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices in a professional kitchen Strong understanding of culinary arts with a focus on creative presentation and flavor balance Previous experience teaching or mentoring junior kitchen staff is a plus Background in culinary arts programs or certifications related to Japanese cuisine or seafood preparation is preferred Join us if you're eager to showcase your sushi craftsmanship in a lively setting where your skills can shine! Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
