Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this key role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, whether in restaurant dining setting or catering events. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain consistency and excellence. Support menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen operations. Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Lead and motivate kitchen staff through effective team management, shift coordination, and training initiatives. Coordinate with catering team to ensure timely delivery of large-scale events while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen environment at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or restaurant supervision with a strong background in upscale dining environments. Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience managing culinary teams effectively. Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management, food handling procedures, and food safety standards. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team. Experience in catering operations is highly desirable. A culinary background with hands-on cooking skills across various cuisines.
