This is more than a traditional porter or lot position. The Service Concierge is an entry-level development position designed for someone interested in building a career in the automotive service industry , with the opportunity to learn dealership operations and potentially advance into a Service Technician or Service Advisor role based on performance, aptitude, and available opportunities. No previous dealership experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, dependability, and a desire to learn and grow.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Service Concierge, you will be one of the first people our customers interact with when arriving for service while also learning many of the fundamentals of dealership service operations.
Responsibilities include:
Professionally greet customers arriving on the service drive and assist with the vehicle check-in process. Perform a vehicle walk-around and document visible pre-existing damage. Install seat, floor, steering wheel, and other protective coverings as required. Perform and record preliminary vehicle checks prior to technician dispatch, including automated wheel alignment checks, battery testing, windshield wiper inspections, and tire tread-depth measurements. Properly stage vehicles for technician dispatch. Safely move and park customer vehicles throughout the dealership. Drive vehicles through the automatic car wash. Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean windows. Help ensure completed vehicles are clean and presentable for customer delivery. Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the service drive and surrounding work areas. Assist Service Advisors, Technicians, and management with general department support. Perform housekeeping and ancillary duties as assigned by management.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
This position provides hands-on exposure to both the technical and customer-service sides of a dealership Service Department , including dealership service-lane operations, vehicle inspection processes, basic automotive maintenance and vehicle-condition checks, customer interaction, technician workflow, vehicle dispatch, and the complete service process from vehicle arrival through customer delivery.
A PATH TO SOMETHING MORE
We want this position to be a starting point for someone interested in growing within the automotive industry . A successful Service Concierge may have the opportunity to develop toward either of two career paths:
TECHNICIAN PATH
For someone who demonstrates mechanical aptitude and an interest in vehicle repair, this position provides exposure to technicians, inspection procedures, shop processes, and dealership service operations that can help prepare them for future technician opportunities.
SERVICE ADVISOR PATH
For someone who demonstrates strong communication, organization, customer-service skills, and an ability to understand vehicle needs, the position provides valuable experience that can help prepare them for future Service Advisor opportunities. Advancement is not automatic and will depend on individual performance, demonstrated ability, development, and available positions—but we want to develop people who want to build a career with us.
WHY TASCA?
Joining Tasca Automotive Group means becoming part of an organization with a long-standing presence in the automotive industry and opportunities that extend beyond a single position. We believe in developing people from within whenever the right opportunity and individual come together . For someone entering the automotive business, the Service Concierge position offers an opportunity to learn the fundamentals, work alongside experienced automotive professionals, demonstrate your abilities, and begin building a career path within the organization. Whether your interests ultimately lead toward becoming a professional Service Technician, Service Advisor, or another position within dealership operations , this role is designed to provide a strong foundation and meaningful exposure to the business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, professional, detail-oriented, willing to learn, comfortable interacting with customers, and interested in the automotive service business. You should be comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment, working both indoors and outdoors, safely operating a variety of customer vehicles, and helping wherever needed to support the team. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. Automotive or dealership experience is helpful, but not required . If you're looking for more than just your next job and are interested in starting a career in automotive service, this is an opportunity to get your foot in the door, learn the business, prove yourself, and build toward your next position. Apply today and start building your automotive career with Tasca.
