JOB OVERVIEW
Welcome hotel guests, residents and external guests to the Spa and answer all inquiries for treatments or retail sales while observing set standards. Have a complete knowledge of the treatments and services offered, and any promotions that may be offered at the time. Responsible for driving the revenue of all business centres in the spa through effective scheduling, yield management and sales. To ensure that all operational procedures, codes of conduct and standards of appearance for the Spa Reception operations as set forth by the Executive Spa Director and other members of the Spa management team are implemented and adhered to. Organize scheduling and maximize use of time within the day, overseeing the retail area and making sure guests are receiving a memorable spa experience in order to achieve spa financial goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job involves working: Remain standing for 8 hours & stair climbing to access various locations within spa. Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold) Under variable noise levels Outdoors/indoors Working evening, weekends, and holidays.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Hotel Reception Manager, Hotel Reservationists, Hotel Receptionists, Spa Staff, Finance, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Human Resources External:
Hotel Guests, Residents, Members, Local Guests & VIP sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
1. Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language. 2. A minimum of 6 months as Spa Receptionist in a Five Stars Spa or 9 months in a non-Five Stars Spa. 3. Previous experience with a spa booking engine such as Spasoft or others. 4. Experience in guest service or similar experience. 5. Positive demeanor. 6. Commitment to spa needs, colleagues, and guests. 7. Provide legible communication and direction. 8. Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers) 9. Computer literate and experienced. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Must be self-motivated, proactive. Must be flexible and able to work efficiently under pressure. Must be able to multi-task 10.
Ability to:
a. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. b. Prioritize, organize and follow-up c. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. d. Follow directions thoroughly e. Understand guest service needs f. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team g. Work with minimal supervision h. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
Desirable:
1. Fluency in second language, preferably Spanish, Portuguese or Russian.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
1. Exert physical effort in transporting 10 to 50 pounds. 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. 3. Reach 3 feet. 4. Remain standing for 8 hours & stair climbing to access various locations within spa. 5. Satisfactory communicate with the guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
