  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med Tech (Medication Technician) to join our Assisted Living team on a PRN basis.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in our residents' daily lives by assisting with medication administration while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor and document residents' health status, medication effectiveness, and any side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members regarding medication management and health concerns.
  • Support the nursing staff in executing healthcare plans and conducting regular health assessments.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, andanized environment for residents and staff.
  • Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated on best practices in medication management and assisted living care.
  • Assist with emergency protocols as needed and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification as a Medication Technician/Medication Aide preferred.
  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related healthcare field is highly desirable.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and safe handling practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, andanizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening as required by the facility.
  • Working Conditions:
  • This position may require standing for extended periods, lifting and transferring residents, and performing tasks in various settings within the facility.
  • PRN shifts may vary based on facility needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
