Job Description
This is much more than a traditional cleaning position. Our Hospitality Specialists are responsible for professionally resetting vacation homes between guests and ensuring every property is clean, organized, welcoming, fully stocked, and ready to deliver a five-star experience. You will be trusted to notice the details others miss, identify problems before a guest discovers them, protect the homes entrusted to our care, and represent the quality standards of CDA Vacation Rentals. What Is a Hospitality Specialist? A Hospitality Specialist is the final person responsible for making sure a vacation rental is truly guest-ready.
That includes:
- Professionally cleaning and resetting each room
- Preparing beds, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces to presentation standards
- Inspecting the property from a guest's perspective
- Confirming supplies and amenities are properly stocked
- Identifying damage, maintenance concerns, missing items, or safety issues
- Reporting problems clearly and promptly
- Creating a consistent experience regardless of which team member prepared the home
- Treating every property with care, professionalism, and respect The goal is not simply to make a home look clean. The goal is to create a property where a guest can walk through the door, immediately feel comfortable, and trust that every detail has been handled. What You'll Do As a Hospitality Specialist, you will:
- Complete detailed vacation-rental turnovers
- Follow CDA Vacation Rentals' cleaning and reset standards
- Make beds and stage rooms neatly and consistently
- Check appliances, remotes, lights, locks, and essential amenities
- Restock approved guest supplies
- Inspect for cleanliness, damage, missing items, and maintenance concerns
- Submit accurate property reports and photos
- Communicate delays or concerns before they affect a guest
- Complete a final quality inspection before leaving
- Work independently while remaining accountable to the team
- Occasionally assist with deep cleans, property projects, or special preparations This Position May Be a Great Fit for
You If You:
- Take pride in doing a job correctly, even when no one is watching
- Naturally notice crooked décor, fingerprints, hair, dust, missing supplies, or items out of place
- Understand that small details can significantly affect a guest's experience
- Are dependable and take scheduled commitments seriously
- Can manage your time without sacrificing quality
- Communicate clearly when something goes wrong
- Are comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, checklists, photos, and team communication
- Enjoy working independently
- Respect other people's homes and belongings
- Want to be part of a professional hospitality team rather than treated as "just a cleaner" Professional cleaning or hospitality experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, integrity, and a genuine desire to learn. What We Are Looking For The strongest candidates will have:
- Reliable transportation
- A valid driver's license and active auto insurance
- Reliable access to a smartphone
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- The ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills
- The ability to follow detailed procedures
- The judgment to recognize and report concerns
- Availability during our busiest turnover periods, including some weekends and holidays
- The physical ability to bend, lift, carry supplies, make beds, use stairs, and remain active throughout the workday What Makes CDA Vacation Rentals Different We believe professional property preparation requires skill, training, judgment, and accountability.
