Patient Engagement Specialist
Job Description
Mary Tilak, PC is looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill a full-time Patient Engagement Specialist position. The Patient Engagement Specialist position is essentially the backbone of the practice and drives to ensure excellent patient experience. We are looking someone who enjoys helping people and takes pride in their position. An ideal candidate would be a quick learner, friendly, and customer service centered with ease in navigating technology and data. Dr Mary Tilak and Associates is an internal medicine and primary care practice that has three locations in Northwest Indiana and growing rapidly. It is a high energy practice that has been embedded in our NWI community for more than two decades. Our devoted team helps patients six days a week, Monday through Saturday. Position offers competitive hourly pay & Benefits.
Among duties:
- Support Staff
- Responding to patient calls and texts through a HIPAA complaint platform
- Responding and navigating patients through the Patient Portal
- EMR•Medical records management•Handle patient questions with efficiency•Schedule and reschedule appointments at multiple locations•Work with clinical staff to coordinate care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Associate degree or certifications preferred
- Accustomed to following HIPPA policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills (in person and telephone, verbal and written)
- Experience with medical field and front desk operations
- Strong multitasking skills without being prompted or monitored
- Dependable with reliable transportation
- Professional dress, language, and attitude
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are preferred
- Work flexible hours, including most Saturdays
