Front Desk Attendant - Thayer Sports Center Legends Global - 3.0 Braintree, MA Job Details Part-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Computer literacy Full Job Description The Front Desk Attendant at the Thayer Sports Center serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, providing exceptional customer service and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist visitors and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about the facility, events, and services offered. Handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
Administrative Tasks:
Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. Manage scheduling and reservations for events and facility use. Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities and transactions.
Parking Lot Monitoring:
Monitor the parking lot to ensure the safety and security of the facility. Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Payment Collection:
Collect payments for public skating events, open hockey sessions, and other activities. Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of transactions. Ensure that all payments are processed correctly and securely.
Event Participation Monitoring:
Verify that all customers attending events have paid the appropriate fees. Ensure that all participants have signed the necessary waivers and forms. Monitor compliance with facility rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. Basic computer skills, ability to adapt to and learn new programs. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to withstand a colder atmosphere during minimal periods inside the ice arena.
Work Environment:
The role is primarily performed in an indoor office setting but includes monitoring outdoor parking areas. Interaction with a diverse group of customers and staff members.
Availability:
Friday night and weekend shifts available.
