Building Ambassador (Full-Time) Position Overview We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Doorman to serve as the first point of contact for our luxury residential building. The Doorman plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of security, service, and presentation while delivering exceptional personalized assistance to residents and guests. This position requires a polished presence, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to service and building maintenance. Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Service & Resident Assistance Greet all residents and visitors with a warm, professional, and welcoming demeanor. Open doors promptly and courteously for residents and guests entering or exiting the building. Provide personalized assistance, including helping carry heavy or multiple items such as bags, boxes, and groceries. Offer occasional assistance such as briefly watching a resident's dog when needed. Communicate clearly and effectively with residents, guests, and team members. Maintain and monitor the coffee station daily, ensuring it is fully stocked with coffee, water, cups, and supplies. Assist residents, visitors, and colleagues as needed to enhance overall comfort and satisfaction. 2. Security & Access Control Maintain building security by ensuring all entrance doors remain closed and locked according to schedule. Proactively monitor the premises and immediately report any suspicious activity or potential security threats.

Strictly enforce building access policies:

All visitors must be announced via call-up and receive explicit resident approval before entering. Adhere to all safety and emergency protocols at all times. 3. Package & Delivery Management Receive, log, and securely store incoming packages and deliveries. Deliver packages to residents in a timely, organized, and careful manner. 4. Lobby & Facility Maintenance Keep the lobby, entrance areas, and immediate surroundings clean, tidy, and presentable at all times. Promptly clean up spills or messes in the lobby area. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, including adherence to the dress code (suit jacket and dress pants) and proper posture at the podium. In colder weather, wear a beanie in a neat and professional manner. 5. Additional Operational Duties Answer the doorman phone promptly and provide accurate information and assistance. Organize and properly store carts on residential parking decks before the end of shift. Perform cleaning tasks including emptying trash bins, vacuuming, mopping residential parking deck floors, and wiping down elevators (vacuum/mop as needed). Keep the workstation and podium area clean and organized at the end of each shift. Report notable events, incidents, maintenance needs, or shift handoff information to the office. Maintain inventory of coffee supplies and notify the office when restocking is needed. Follow an "address as you go" philosophy — immediately handle any observed cleaning or maintenance needs during the shift. Take two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break per day. Perform any other tasks necessary to support resident safety, comfort, and building standards. Qualifications & Requirements Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain alert, observant, and proactive in a security-focused role. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift/carry packages and resident items, and perform light cleaning duties. Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, security, or concierge roles is preferred but not required. Ability to work flexible shifts in case of any emergency that may arise, including weekends and holidays as needed. Personal Attributes Professional appearance and polished presentation.
