Kansas City Position Responsibilities:
As a Connect Ambassador, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive customer experience. You will be responsible for greeting and engaging customers upon arrival, assessing their needs, answering questions, coordinating traffic flow, and guiding them to the appropriate resources or specialists. This position is integral in supporting customer service operations and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with team members from various departments, have opportunities to participate in meetings and events, and play an active part in event preparation and execution. Additionally, you will assist in outreach activities and community engagement, contributing to efforts aimed at building and maintaining relationships with customers and community partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Customer Engagement & Support:
Serve as the initial point of contact for all customers entering the facility. Greet customers, actively listen to assess their needs, and provide basic information or direct them to the appropriate specialist. Efficiently manage human traffic flow to ensure smooth operations within the facility. Assist customers with payments and provide education on energy efficiency products and services. Collaborate with facility team members to resolve escalated issues and ensure timely and effective solutions. Support general customer service needs and perform other duties as assigned.
Community Engagement & Event Support:
Participate in preparation, execution, and cleanup of internal and external events. Assist during community outreach efforts and play a supporting role in seminars, workshops, and special programs. Gather data and feedback to help measure the effectiveness of community events and initiatives. Support the daily opening and closing of the facility, ensuring that all systems are safely shut down and the building is secured. Provide assistance as needed during extended outages or emergent situations. You will be expected to consistently demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, and a willingness to support the organization's mission and goals. Essential Skills, Experience Excellent verbal communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Skillful at building rapport; outgoing, personable, and able to make all visitors feel welcome. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well independently as well as within a team. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks with accuracy. Sound judgment with an ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders. Flexible and adaptable; able to handle frequent changes in assignments, priorities, and work hours or shifts. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated experience thriving in environments that require both efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service field, preferably in a face-to-face service capacity. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment preferred. ECCO Select is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
