Job Description

Ministry Function The Hospitality & Guest Relations Assistant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing support to the Hospitality & Guest Relations team in several administrative support functions. This role includes assisting with coffee shop coverage, logistical assistance, general communication, and functional support of activities as assigned. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists the Hospitality & Guest Relations team with tasks related to daily operations, events, event preparation, etc. Provides administrative support to the Hospitality & Guest Relations team by assisting with paperwork, team office supply ordering, running errands, etc. Provides onsite support and coordination during events, as requested. Cultivates strong relationships across working groups and assists in collaboration with them for a cohesive event. Maintain inventory of Hospitality & Guest Relations décor, linens, etc. to ensure when they are checked out they get returned in good condition. Acts as backup barista in the Hope Supply Co. Coffee Shop, as needed. Keeps all information confidential and operates at the highest level of integrity. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates they are a professional, resourceful, and determined individual who can work independently and is comfortable in a close-knit, team-oriented setting. Can use computers and software programs, including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exhibits strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time. Must be detail-oriented and can follow through without direct supervision. Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibility at this time. This is a part-time position expecting 18 hours per week.
