MEAL PREP KITCHEN TEAM MEMBER & DELIVERY DRIVER

Monday-Thursday | Full-Time | No Nights or Weekends Katie's Plates is a growing local meal-delivery company looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our kitchen team in Irondale. This is a hands-on position that combines food preparation, kitchen production, packaging, cleaning, and local meal delivery. Our team prepares hundreds of fresh meals each week, so we need someone who enjoys staying busy, works well with others, and takes pride in doing things correctly.

SCHEDULE

Full-time, Monday through Thursday Early mornings through the afternoon No Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts Start and finish times may vary slightly depending on weekly order volume PAY Starting at $16 per hour Opportunities for raises as skills, speed, and responsibilities increase Guaranteed tips earned while making delivery routes (tips range from $50 to $110 per delivery route) Mileage reimbursement for delivery routes ($0.37-$0.42/mile - range according to local gas prices) Overtime may occasionally be available and is calculated by the week

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare ingredients by chopping, measuring, mixing, and portioning Assist with cooking and assembling meals Package and label customer orders accurately Follow recipes, portioning instructions, and food-safety procedures Keep workstations, equipment, and shared kitchen areas clean Help load and organize delivery orders Make local meal deliveries using your own reliable vehicle Double-check orders and routes for accuracy Work efficiently as part of a close-knit production team

Dependable and consistently on time Comfortable working on their feet in a busy kitchen Focused and able to stay engaged throughout the shift Able to follow detailed instructions and recipes Positive, respectful, and willing to help wherever needed Careful with details, especially when packaging and delivering orders Able to work independently without constant supervision Interested in learning and taking on more responsibility over time

REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle and current automobile insurance Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks Reliable transportation to our Irondale kitchen Food-service or commercial-kitchen experience is helpful but not required for the right person
