Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers safely and efficiently Follow food safety protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination Assist with menu planning and ingredient portioning to ensure consistency in meal presentation Maintain a clean workstation by regularly cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety standards Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed during all stages of meal preparation Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide practices is a plus Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and knife skills including slicing techniques Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff Experience operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and fryers Catering experience or serving background is advantageous for supporting diverse service needs Join us to bring your culinary expertise to life in a vibrant setting where quality, safety, and teamwork are at the forefront!
