Our team is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment that promotes health and well-being. We are seeking a talented and passionate full-time cook to join our culinary team.
Job Summary:
As a part-time Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. You will work closely with the dietary team to ensure that all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong understanding of nutrition, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus Ensure food is cooked and presented in an appealing and appetizing manner Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Assist in planning and developing menus that meet dietary requirements and resident preferences Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and requests Maintain accurate records of food temperatures and preparation processes Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and nutrition Ability to follow recipes and adjust as needed for special dietary needs Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
