About Chef Fatty Chef Fatty makes cooking videos for over 2 million followers across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Most of it is Asian home cooking and kitchen science. We film recipe videos in a home studio kitchen in Atwater, and we need a reliable prep cook and grocery runner to keep shoot days running smoothly. What you'll do Buy groceries and ingredients for each shoot with a company card, including trips to Asian grocery stores Pick the best-looking produce and proteins, since everything ends up on camera Find good substitutes when something is out, and keep receipts organized Prep ingredients before and during shoots: washing, cutting, measuring, mise en place Cook components and backup batches so every take looks fresh Keep the kitchen clean and organized between takes: dishes, wiping down, resetting the set Keep the pantry and fridge stocked and let us know when staples run low Schedule 1 to 2 shoot days a week, up to 8 hours each Grocery runs before shoot days, paid at the same hourly rate, with mileage reimbursed Shoot days are planned in advance, and we'll work with your availability Pay $25 per hour Mileage reimbursed for grocery runs Paid trial day before we commit What we're looking for Kitchen experience: restaurant, catering, culinary school, or a very capable home cook Solid knife skills and the ability to follow a recipe exactly A good eye for fresh, quality ingredients Clean, organized and calm when things move fast A reliable car and a valid driver's license Comfortable handling meat, pork, seafood, shellfish, nuts and sesame On your feet most of the day, and able to carry groceries and equipment Nice to have Experience with Asian ingredients and cooking techniques California Food Handler Card or ServSafe certificate Knows the grocery stores around Merced, Atwater and Modesto Interest in food media, recipe development or food styling Why you'll like it Steady part-time hours that fit around other work or school Learn from a chef who makes videos for a living See how professional food content gets made, from prep to final shot
