$24-$26/hour | Part-Time, Event-Based About Très LA Très LA is a hospitality and events company known for creating exceptional culinary experiences throughout Los Angeles. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, our culinary team brings great food, thoughtful execution, and high standards to every event. We're looking for experienced Event Cooks to join our culinary team and support events primarily based out of our Pacific Design Center (PDC) operations in West Hollywood , with occasional events at other locations throughout the Los Angeles area. A Note About the Schedule This is an event-based, gig-style position , so hours are not guaranteed and schedules will vary based on our event calendar. Some weeks may offer multiple shifts, while others may have limited or no available shifts. This role is a great fit for experienced cooks looking to pick up additional shifts around another job, school, freelance work, or other commitments. Shifts are typically 6-8 hours and may take place on weekdays, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on event needs. What You'll Do Prepare, portion, cook, and plate menu items according to Très LA recipes and standards Set up and maintain an organized, fully stocked station for event service Review prep needs and communicate shortages or concerns to the Chef Execute service with speed, accuracy, and attention to presentation Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout prep and service Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and Health Department requirements Assist with event kitchen setup, breakdown, and closing procedures Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas Work collaboratively with Chefs, cooks, and the broader event team Learn event menus and understand preparation and presentation expectations Assist the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or event culinary leadership as needed What We're Looking For At least 1 year of professional kitchen, prep, line cook, catering, or event culinary experience Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Organized, dependable, and comfortable taking direction Flexible availability for event-based scheduling Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time at varying event locations Valid California Food Handler Card Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, stoop, and lift 20-50 pounds What You Can Expect At Très LA, event work is fast-paced, collaborative, and different from one shift to the next. Pay Range:
