Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Assist in food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating dishes Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient needs Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is highly preferred Strong knife skills and slicing techniques with an understanding of food safety management Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to adhere strictly to recipe instructions and safety standards during food production Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
