Tuesday-Saturday Pay:

$18

• 20+ per hour, depending on experience Pupusas Express is hiring a dependable, experienced Line Cook to join our family-owned Salvadorian restaurant in El Cajon.

We are looking for someone who can handle a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen , stay organized during busy rushes, and consistently prepare quality food. Experience with Salvadorian, Mexican, Central American, or similar Latin cuisine is strongly preferred. Applicants with strong experience making pupusas may qualify for higher pay. Responsibilities Cook and prepare menu items during service Assist with daily food prep, including meats, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients Keep orders moving quickly and accurately during busy periods Follow recipes, portion standards, and restaurant procedures Maintain a clean and organized workstation Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures Help with stocking, opening, closing, and general kitchen duties Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain speed and food quality Qualifications Previous restaurant or professional kitchen experience preferred Experience working as a line cook, restaurant cook, or similar kitchen position Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistently Able to follow instructions while also working independently Strong teamwork and communication skills Experience with Salvadorian, Mexican, Central American, or Latin cuisine is a major plus Experience making pupusas is highly preferred and may qualify for higher starting pay Spanish-speaking or bilingual is a plus Schedule Full-Time Tuesday through Saturday Applicants should have reliable transportation and consistent availability Tuesday through Saturday.

Pay Starting pay:

$18

• 22+ per hour Pay will depend on restaurant experience, cooking ability, and overall skill level.

Experienced pupusa cooks may qualify for higher pay based on experience and ability.
