Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Prep Cook to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in preparing ingredients and menu items, maintaining an organized kitchen, and ensuring our team is ready for smooth and efficient service. If you have strong knife and food preparation skills, are passionate about food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to grow with us, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and menu components according to Biryani Boys recipes, portions, and quality standards. Wash, cut, chop, slice, portion, and organize ingredients needed for daily service. Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, toppings, and other menu components as assigned. Follow recipes and prep procedures accurately to maintain consistency in flavor, portion size, and quality. Complete assigned prep lists efficiently and ensure required items are ready before service. Properly label, date, store, and rotate prepared food and ingredients. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain freshness and reduce food waste. Monitor ingredient quality and communicate low inventory, shortages, or quality concerns to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep station throughout the shift. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures. Safely operate knives and approved commercial kitchen equipment. Assist with stocking, cleaning, dishwashing, and other kitchen stations when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for food and customer service.
