In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of talented cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your expertise in fine dining, catering, and banquet services will drive excellence in menu execution, inventory control, and food production. As a leader in the culinary department, you will foster a collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes food safety sanitizing procedures, cost control, and efficient kitchen management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape memorable dining experiences while maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring smooth shift management and high-quality food service delivery Lead food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency with menu standards and presentation quality Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure timely procurement of supplies Enforce strict food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to uphold health regulations and protect guest well-being Manage team performance through coaching, training, and motivating staff to achieve departmental goals Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating dietary requirements and special event needs such as banquets or catering services Monitor food production costs and implement cost control measures without compromising quality or service standards Skills Extensive banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale event catering Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, demonstrating leadership in team management In-depth knowledge of dietary department operations, including special dietary accommodations and nutritional considerations Skilled in food production, menu planning, and culinary techniques across fine dining environments Excellent inventory management skills with a focus on inventory control and food handling safety practices Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures, kitchen safety protocols, and hygiene standards Effective communication skills to lead teams confidently while fostering a positive work environment Experience managing shifts efficiently within fast-paced restaurant or catering operations Familiarity with restaurant management systems for order tracking, inventory control, and cost analysis Passion for hospitality with a focus on serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm Join our team as a Lead Cook Supervisor where your culinary expertise will inspire excellence!
