Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and quality in all meal preparations Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production processes Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Experience with dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and maintain a collaborative work environment Familiarity with food industry regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines Catering experience or experience working in high-volume food production environments is advantageous Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
