Duties Prepare a variety of Asian dishes using wok techniques, including stir-frying, grilling, and food production methods. Follow established recipes meticulously to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items. Operate kitchen equipment such as woks, burners, knives, and food prep tools safely and efficiently. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on ingredient availability and customer preferences. Support food handling and preparation tasks for high-volume production during busy service times. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering setting, especially with Asian cuisine. Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques such as grilling and stir-frying. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards. Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for high-volume production. Background in dietary department work or dietary aide experience is a plus. Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence in the food industry.
