We host first-run films, special screenings, and themed events inspired by the movies we show. Our small, hands-on team works together in a creative, fast-paced environment where great food, drinks, and hospitality meet the magic of cinema. Se habla español. Job Overview We're looking for an experienced, reliable cook to prepare and cook menu items, manage stocking, and keep our kitchen clean and running. This is primarily a back-of-house role: you'll spend most of your time on the line, in prep, and cooking to order. You'll occasionally support the bar or front-of-house during busy screenings and events, but the core of the job is kitchen operations. This part-time position (with potential to grow into full-time) is ideal for someone who works well independently, handles multiple tasks at once, and can open or close the kitchen on their own. Responsibilities Kitchen (primary): Prepare and cook menu items to quality standards Manage food prep, stocking, and inventory for the kitchen Maintain clean, organized workstations, including dishwashing and deep cleaning Open and/or close the kitchen independently Follow food handling and hygiene regulations Support food service for special events, screenings, and private rentals Occasional support (secondary): Help maintain cleanliness in shared spaces (lobby, bathrooms, service areas) Assist with guest service during peak times Support bar service, pouring beer, wine, and specialty drinks (training provided; must be 21+) Qualifications Previous cooking/food service experience required Food Handlers Certificate required (can be acquired after hire if not already held) Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification a plus, or acquired after hire Bar experience a plus, not required Strong ability to multitask and work independently Comfortable with physical demands: standing for extended periods, lifting up to [X] lbs, working near heat Positive, team-oriented attitude
