HOURLY RATE OF PAY
$22-$24 DOE; overtime eligible The Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is seeking an experienced and dynamic Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team. Our 265-room property has recently completed a top-to-bottom renovation, including 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a revitalized property and help deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items efficiently, safely, and consistently in accordance with hotel and restaurant standards. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification, presented professionally, and served in a timely manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards. Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients for service. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet hotel and brand standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and labeling food products. Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Work collaboratively with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure efficient service. Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Open availability is required for PM shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, Monday through Saturday.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred. Minimum of 2--5 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen environment required. Hotel restaurant experience preferred. Pantry, grill, and sauté experience preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices. Valid California Food Handler Card required. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team. Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity is welcome.BENEFITS
