Duties Prepare and cook a wide range of pasta dishes, including sauces, fillings, and accompaniments, following established recipes and standards Execute food preparation tasks such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling to ensure optimal flavor and texture Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitizing workstations and equipment regularly to uphold sanitation standards Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pasta recipes and seasonal variations to keep offerings fresh and exciting Support high-volume production needs during busy service hours while maintaining quality control Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery Follow all food safety management procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant environments with a focus on pasta or Italian cuisine Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and proper kitchen hygiene practices Familiarity with the food industry standards for food safety management and sanitation protocols Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards We are a small family run italian restaurant in the middle of the peninsula Bay Area.
