Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in food preparation. The role of a cook is to prepare culinary delights for our guests. Guest satisfaction in our outlets revolve around the food appearance, high quality of the food and overall dining experience. The cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in all station's areas of the kitchen. As a Line Cook you will be expected to work with associates to ensure guest satisfaction. A Cook will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve a Manager when needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Sets up station according to outlet guidelines.
  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Chef.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
  • Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
  • Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef at any time.
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Cook or relevant role in the food industry
  • Breakfast experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
Qualification:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • Professional communication skills are required.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
  • ServSafe certificate required
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Must be able to speak, read and understand cooking directions.
