Job Description
The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, measuring spices, and portioning food items according to standardized recipes. The role includes supporting cooking and baking tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work station, and following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Pre Cook will assist with daily kitchen setup, stock rotation, and basic food and beverage preparation to ensure smooth service. This position works closely with kitchen staff, supports peak service times, and follows direction from lead cooks and kitchen management.
Candidates should possess cooking skills related to hot and cold line support, basic recipe execution, and consistent portioning.
Candidates should possess baking skills for assisting with doughs, batters, and simple baked goods preparation.
Candidates should possess communication skills to follow instructions, coordinate with team members, and report issues promptly.
Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation standards, and proper food storage practices.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or culinary setting is preferred but not required.
Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Will assist with Food Handlers Certification
