The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and meal preparation, with experience in a kitchen environment, particularly within the fine dining sector. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals that meet our standards of excellence. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen will contribute to the overall success of our dietary department. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices at all times. Participate in inventory management by tracking food supplies and reporting shortages. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation within the food industry, preferably in a fine dining setting. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and dietary guidelines. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
